Aaliyah represented GB at the Gymnastics World Championships last week in America. We are incredibly proud of her achievements! Well done
The children have been working hard at home to complete an Ancient Greece Project. They could choose to decorate a terracotta plant pot in the style of Ancient Greece and plant some seeds, build their own Parthenon, make a shield that represents Spartans or Athenians, make a mask or research a God and make a fact file about them.
There’s a general election coming up on 8 June, where adults will vote to decide who will run the UK.
Although children aren’t able to vote, the choices made at the election will have a big impact on the lives of all children across the country.

Voting has taken place and the new Prime Minister will be announced soon. Will we have a clear winner or will it be a hung parliament?
We’ve had fun and hot afternoon completing the fun run. Well done to everyone who brought in a hat, you all looked fabulous.
Today we have Kiera from Konflux Theatre working with us to put together a Play.
We have been learning about Ancient Greece; the Cradle of Civilisation. Where men were men but no-one dared argue with the women of Sparta! Home to the greatest thinkers, philosophers, writers and athletes of the day.
Today we will meet Alexander the Great, the young general who sulks if he doesn’t get his own way, Herodotus the Historian (who thinks he’s John Travolta) and Archimedes the mathematician who discovers displacement theory.
We will be working together as actors to create a fun, action-packed 15- 20 minute performance, we willl be learning about:
– the value of teamwork
– public speaking
– confidence building
– increased subject knowledge
Will anyone heed poor Cassandra? Will Pandora open the box? Will our hero escape the snake haired Medusa? Find out at the end of the day when we perform our play.

This week we have been learning how to say some body parts in Mandarin. We have been singing Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.
We’ve had a fun Mandarin lesson this morning. We learnt how to say “This is my…. dad/mum/sister/brother etc
